New Hope Manoa Time Lapse 20120212
Todays Service in time lapse. Well at least a good part of todays service I misscalculated somehow and I ran out of card space.
Waikiki Scene Time Lapse
This is my first time lapse sequence that I have created. It isn’t the best but it is still not that bad hope you enjoy the video it is about 20 seconds long. The settings for this time lapse sequence was 6 sec. time interval. What I did learn is that I really should use Shutter Priority or Time Value for this kind of sequence so I can control the shutter speed. I used Aperture Priority for this sequence and the sequence runs a little different because the shutter speed kept on getting longer and longer.
Kakaako Revisited
Awhile ago a few of us visited Kakaako Beach Park. That night I had tripod problems an I was not happy with my shots.
Tonight (last night) we revisited Kakaako Beach Park. Here are some if the shots taken.
Corner Kitchen
I am creating a web site for a new restaurant Corner Kitchen in Kapahulu. I had a meeting with the owners and they fed us lunch. I have to say the lunch was fantastic. I would go back and pay for my meal. A dining experience.
Lyon Arboretum
Nestled in the Valley of Manoa is a lovely gardens. Lyon Arboretum is a bird sanctuary but is also filled with lovely beauty. Here are a few photos taken there.

iPhone Photo Apps
Hi, I’ve been playing with several photo apps for iPhone. FilterStorm 4 (hardest), SnapSeed (not as powerful), and PhotoGene 2. All great apps but I tend to like FilterStorm a little better.
Photo Shoot From 01-22-2012
Had some fun shooting the New Hope Metro photo shoot. It felt really great being behind the camera again shooting an event. I just wish my long lens didn’t die on me. That’s ok though my 28-135mm lens cared me through the day.
Hawaii Plantation Village
After about 4 years I was finally able to make it back out to the Hawaii Plantation Village located in Waipahu on the island of Oahu. It is a remake of what a typical sugar cane plantation village may have looked like in years gone by. There are homes like the Chinese, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese and other ethnic groups which worked the plantation fields.
I love this area because it is a great spot to capture some really great still life both in color and black and white. Because it is past history the whole area opens the doors to great black and white photography. If you ever have a chance to visit the Hawaii Plantation Village I would highly recommend it. If nothing more than to learn a little about the history of Hawaii.
